Hard to leave each night After we read him his books
For some strange reason
Sorry for the delay in posting. I've been under the weather. Each night we have a ritual for bedtime. Mama reads a book. I read him a book. We sing 3 songs he chooses, which are always wheels on the bus, hurry hurry drive the fire truck, and itsy bitsy spider. Then we sing the goodnight song. As soon as we start the last song, he clamps on to our shirts with his little hands and tries to keep us there. We ask what he's doing and he says, "Mama. Dada. Stay." We explain that we have to go and will see him in the morning and give him an extra hug, mostly to loosen his grip so we can escape.
