Sometimes parenting feels straight up like an old Disney movie. My son saw that the bees were flying around the flowers and I explained that they were gathering pollen from the flowers which they eat and which helps the flowers grow new flowers. I told him not to touch the bees because they could get scared and sting him, but that they don't want to sting him as long as they don't bother them. His solution to my suggestions, was to hold up a flower towards the bees and say, "This flower! Bee! This one!". And magically, one of them entered the flower he was holding up. I was waiting for the orchestra to fire up and my son to break out into song and dance while the bees flew around him in formation.
